Pakshee

Pakshee, a Delhi based six piece band brings to you a mesmerizing fusion of Indian and western music, something that will definitely be new to your ears. Their music is a well balanced marriage of music from different routes. The way they blend Hindustani and Carnatic vocals with western music creates a sound which echoes in your ears. The band which was formed as a college project out of Kirori Mal College to participate in college competitions immediately started making huge waves in the college circle. Their music coves various genres like Carnatic, Hindustani, disco, funk, jazz, blues, rock and pop. Over the years they have created a good name for themselves and have gathered a huge fan following. Pakshee was recently featured in Music Mojo where they introduced some of their new songs.

Subculture (The Hansraj Projekt)

Subculture, perhaps the most trending Indie band in the scene right now brings to you a music which is a completely different feeling in itself. Formed in August 2013, back when it was called The Hans Raj Projekt, also started as a project aimed at college competitions. Soon they became a hit and from a college project it became a band with its own unique sound. The band comprises of incredible musicians like Anirudh Varma, Abhishek Mittal, Saptak Chatterjee, Shivash Chagti and various other talented musicians. Their music is an amalgamation of Hindustani music and jazz and has the touch of expert musicianship. After their reign in the college music scenes they have stepped into various other music scenes and are growing in fan base and as a new sound.

Skrat

Skrat, the devils of rock, straight from hell is a high energy three piece band based out of Chennai. Their music brings to you an energetic form of raw rock music with a new but familiar sound with which you’ll immediately fall in love and will find your head nodding to the music. The band which started as a completely different thing which even had a keyboard in their early days also started as a college band but overtime grew and matured into a music which is pure and unique. Their music is packed of intense energy and it simply can’t be explained, it is something that you’ll have to listen for yourself. Plus they have awesome album art.
