When we say Artificial intelligence, most of us would see an android while others night imagine a computer. Basically, Artificial intelligence is a branch of computer science that studies and develops intelligent machines. It is a system that perceives its environment and takes actions that maximizes its chances of success. The field was founded on the claim that a central ability of humans, intelligence - can be so precisely described that it can be simulated by a machine
AI is finding its application across multiple real-time scenarios:
Handle data explosion – With the arrival of smartphones and mobile devices, comes the explosion of data. As the amount of data grows, it is relevant to have an AI system to analyze, process, organize, and interpret the data.
The ability to decode our purpose – Netflix can predict from your behavior what kind of TV show or movie will keep you glued to your sofa. Imagine if your AI system can adjust your car’s temperature and turn off the lights when you take your car out of the garage.
Improving the customer experience – AI can dig deep into details which human eye could probably miss and help you focus on the right data. For instance, RightClick.io is a chatbot that helps you create websites by involving you in a conversation. Even if you try to divert it with unrelated questions, this AI device will put you back to the actual job of website creation.
Artificial Intelligence is transforming the way we create user experiences. While movies like Terminator have given us a dystopian idea of AI, the reality is totally distinct. AI is a powerful technology that positively influences consumer behavior and enables businesses to provide a great user experience.

What is Artificial Intelligence Exactly?
An “ Artificial Intelligence” emphasizes on creation of intelligent machines that work and react as humans. Computers with artificial intelligence are designed for activities such as speech recognition, Learning, Planning and problem solving.
“Artificial Intelligence, Cloud becoming key technologies: Akash Ambani”, director at Reliance Jio Infocomm, An article has published in ET Telecom.
There he explained how Cloud and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are set to become the bedrocks of communications infrastructure, with both having the potential to grow manifold in the coming years.
He stating that the Open Source community helps drive the technology progression for areas of interest globally, Ambani said AI is becoming mainstream for all.
“India's public cloud market is estimated to be $2.6 billion in 2018, and over $4 billion by 2020,” Ambani said at the India Digital Open Summit in Mumbai. Research firm Gartner Inc had estimated the public cloud services market in India at $1.81 billion in 2017.
Artificial intelligence(AI) is slowly making its way onto smartphones - and may be a staple feature on devices in 2018.
Apple
Artificial intelligence features on Apple's iPhone X primarily focus on imaging and animation. The smartphone includes a dedicated "neural engine" chip, which processes certain functions on the iPhone X without taking power away from other, more standard processes on the device.

Alongside its neural engine, Apple released the iPhone X with its Face ID facial recognition system. Its "True Depth" front-facing camera is able to create a 3D map of a person's face and use that to identify the person, which is used to log into the device and authenticate apps and services like Apple Pay. This information is stored on neural engine chip for power efficiency and security.
With this 3D facial-mapping information, Apple also created "Animoji," or animated avatars, which mimic a person's motions and voice as a fun demonstration of what AI can do. The neural engine similarly stores the animated images and allows Animoji to move in real time with minimal lag, to be as close as possible to a person's true motions.
The iPhone X also uses its updated, AI-focused hardware to improve graphics on its augmented-reality features, which are powered by Apple's ARKit software.
Amazon Echo

Amazon Echo is a brand of smart speakers developed by Amazon.com. The devices connect to the voice-controlled intelligent personal assistant service Alexa, which responds to the name "Alexa". The device is capable of voice interaction, music playback, making to-do lists, setting alarms, streaming podcasts, playing audio-books, and providing weather, traffic and other real-time information. It can also control several smart devices acting as a home automation hub
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND HEALTH CARE
This study centers on how computer-based decision procedures, under the broad umbrella of artificial intelligence (AI), can assist in improving health and health care. Although advanced statistics and machine learning provide the foundation for AI, there are currently revolutionary advances underway in the sub-field of neural networks. This has created tremendous excitement in many fields of science, including in medicine and public health. First demonstrations have already emerged showing that deep neural networks can perform as well as the best human clinicians in well-defined diagnostic tasks. AI-based tools are already appearing in health-oriented apps that can be employed on handheld, networked devices such as smartphones.

How BMW Uses Artificial Intelligence And Big Data To Design And Build Cars Of Tomorrow
BMW creates some of the most high-tech cars we have yet seen. The German giant builds 2.5 million vehicles every year and sells them all over the world.
But technology is not just limited to the cars it builds, its business model is built on Big Data which drives everything it does across design, engineering, production, sales and customer support.
BMW is clearly confident in its belief that cars of the near future will pilot themselves, rather than relying on human drivers. All the big auto manufacturers are staking their claim in a driverless future, but BMW has done so with more confidence than most. It has stated that its aim is for its vehicles to achieve full “level 5” autonomy by 2021
Level 5 autonomy tops the scale defined by the US Department of Transport as it made preliminary investigations into how legislation for autonomous vehicles would work. It indicates that the car will be capable of driving with no human input or supervision and operate at least as effective as a human driver in any conditions and on any road.

What Renowned people says about the Future of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Sundar Pichai, CEO, Google. Inc says that “ Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence are unlocking capabilities that were unthinkable only a few years ago

Corinna Cortes , Google Research New York
“Machine learning has already transformed our computational solutions. The future is even more exciting: tackling more complex and more challenging learning problems with modern theoretical and algorithmic advances.
User interface Vs Artificial intelligence (AI)
Artificial intelligence has already started to touch human lives greatly. It is impacting various different aspects of human life starting from programmatic ad targeting, to chat bots, to algorithmic trading or even market analysis and data mining. However, the majority of its application at present is being utilized by the organizations who have larger pockets to expend.
User Interface is also not unmoved by artificial intelligence. AI is already taking larger roles in user experience across various interactions. What used to be a dumb machine is getting smarter and smarter!
AI is making interactions so simple that it is going to become our go-to point for communicating with apps and brands. This has already resulted into or is about to be an absolute disruption in the way humans interact with machines.
There are organizations working on designing artificially intelligent systems for creating tailored user interface for individuals. "AI is the new UI" is what they say! Yet, artificial intelligence works on historical data, usage patterns, categorizing people having similar thoughts, actions or behavior. The output of AI in UI will depend on how intelligently the system makes major design-decisions, based on the vast user activity stored in databases and mines. The one challenge though, is if we are to categorize designers and their intellection based on their common goals and behaviors, we may probably compromise on true user centered, fresh-and-unique design that could be achieved otherwise. There are people debating - Is it really worthwhile to have AI touch upon UI? The answer to this debate is – YES; don’t just think of the front end when user interface is talked about. It is the experience that distinguishes the traditional systems from the next generation ones.
Revolutionizing UX Design with AI
With the ever-increasing impact of Artificial Intelligence in our lives, it was only a matter of time before AI applications entered the UX design space. AI has many benefits that improve the way people perform tasks, and this can be seen in the many areas where AI has already been incorporated, like the many smart home devices that are available in the market. A popular way businesses use AI is through chatbots. Having been around since 2013, chatbot usage is now on the rise because of the more sophisticated AI that powers them. They are also able to perform more complicated tasks than just using scripted dialogues to reply to users.

Enterprises are using AI to make some tedious processes human-free, like advertisement placement in applications or on websites. This saves companies valuable time that employees can spend performing vital tasks as well as saving money. Many enterprises use AI to tailor the data that is gathered from the users in order to provide personalized content that will be of interest to them. A good example is Google AdSense, which bases advertisements on web pages based on the users’ search history.
AI, however, is still being constantly developed and is still not on the path to replace the human element involved in UX design. Even though AI helps vastly improve content personalization, when it comes to actual customer service requests, users still prefer interacting with people. AI is not at a stage where it can think for itself and is designed to help humans with tasks to improve productivity.
