APP NAME: WORN

APP IDEA: The idea behind the app is to have a platform to sell and buy old clothes and shoes which are still in a wearable condition.

APP ICON: WHY DOES A SHOPPING APP HAVE A CRAB AS ITS ICON?

Well, it’s a Hermit Crab. Hermit crabs don't grow their own shells, so to protect themselves they have to salvage shells abandoned by other sea life, usually from sea snails. But really they'll use whatever they can find, which often includes glass bottles, cans or shotgun shells. As a crab grows, it must often seek out new shells that provide a better fit. In this way, these cute crustaceans are constantly recycling dwellings that would otherwise go to waste.

This was the inspiration behind the app too. Hence, the hermit crab got it's face on the app icon.

APP FUNCTIONS: The app will let the user sign up with three different options (google plus, facebook, or email id). It will allow the user to switch between buying and selling profiles as offering them this option in the very next screen after the sign up or sign in. This option will also be available within the app if one chooses to switch their view at a later stage.

The app will let the user upload pictures of the merchandise via there photo gallery or using the app camera.

The user can then follow the steps to publish their merchandise on the app by mentioning all the specifications of it and end with quoting a price. The app fee and gst will be included in the final price that is visible to the buyer and deduct at the time of transfer to the seller.

The seller will have to then ship the item themselves and update the app about the package delivery time by sharing the courier service details so that the buyer is in the loop.

The money paid for the merchandise will be transferred to the seller after gst and app fee are deducted.

The buyer only has to search and choose the product they wish to buy. They can buy right at that moment or add to cart so as to be able to make one final payment if they wish to buy multiple items.

The buyer can download and save the link of a product if for some reason it is out of stock or unavailable at that moment. Or share the same with friends and family. The buyer can like, dislike and even favourite a particular item.

The buyer will be able to see how many views the merchandise has at the time the buyer is viewing with the help of a fire icon indicating how much of a hot trend that product is.

The buyer can leave a comment after their purchase expressing themselves once they have received the product.
